Introduction to AI Pt1 - Neural Networks for Computer Vision

This video introduces this series of ten videos: an introductory series looking at Neural Networks. Neural networks have been successfully deployed in many areas, both inside and outside of Capital Markets. Applications within finance include option pricing and fraud detection. Broader applications include medical diagnostics and Autonomous vehicles. As well as introducing the subsequent topics in this series, this video takes a look at cost functions. In this video we assert that Cost functions are analogous to sports coaches. In a similar way that a sports coach will suggest tweaks to an athlete's technique, a cost function will provide nudges and tweaks to a neural network's parameters to improve the network's accuracy.
